Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al Hilal have made an offer worth $153.4m to Napoli for star forward Victor Osimhen.
The news comes just weeks after the club had a $330m bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe accepted- although the World Cup winner immediately rejected the proposal.
Napoli expected to reject first bid for Victor Osimhen
The Nigerian hitman is valued closer to $165m by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis with Osimhen’s current deal at the Serie A champions running out in 2025. Speaking about the progress of a new contract for former Manchester United target Osimhen, De Laurentiis said, “We have a basic agreement on a two-year extension but (we are) willing to consider an offer we could not refuse”.
Al Hilal’s first bid is expected to be turned down by Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol but this will not dissuade the Saudi side from coming back with a second, improved offer. The Riyadh-based outfit have already made huge moves in the transfer market this summer and are now looking to reunite Osminhen with his former Napoli teammate and good friend Kalidou Koulibaly.
It is reported that Al Hilal have also tabled a contract worth over an extraordinary $1.25m per week in wages to Osimhen who finished top of the Serie A goalscoring charts last season.
