MLS outfit Inter Miami have thrown their hat into the ring in an attempt to sign legendary central defender Sergio Ramos as a free agent.
The 37-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of June but according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the veteran’s career is set to be offered a lifeline after Inter Miami emerged as candidates for the World Cup winner’s signature.
Sergio Ramos set for MLS move?
It is reported that Ramos wants to reunite with former PSG teammate Lionel Messi in Florida after spending some time weighing up his next and what is most likely to be his last move. If an offer is not forthcoming, the former Real Madrid captain will look to push for a move to the Saudi Arabia Pro League where ex-teammate and good friend Karim Benzema is awaiting to make his debut later this month.
It had been suggested that Turkish champions Galatasaray were interested in signing Ramos but speculation over a move to Istanbul has cooled in recent weeks.
