Manchester United are still in talks with Turkish Lig champions Galatasaray over the sale of Brazilian midfielder Fred.
The 30-year-old is believed to want to make the move this summer with the Red Devils keen to replace him with Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat.
Fred set for Turkish switch?
According to The Daily Mail, the Turkish club are keen to make a second offer for Fred after an initial bid was turned down by the Red Devils last month.
Fred is valued by United at around the $25m mark and has also attracted interest from Premier League outfit Fulham as well as a number of clubs in Saudi Arabia. Real Sociedad’s approach for Donny Van De Beek is thought to be further down the line than Fred’s move but there is still confidence that both transfers can be completed before the transfer window slams shut on September 1.
Fred has entered the last year of his contract at Old Trafford and it is widely expected he will not sign another- making the Brazilian international available as a free agent next summer.
