Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have offered Atletico Madrid’s out-of-favor forward Joao Felix a lucrative deal this summer.
Former Benfica boss Jorge Jesus has reportedly rang Felix numerous times to convince the Portuguese star to move to Riyadh after falling out with Atletico manager Diego Simeone. Jesus is so keen on Felix that he is happy to negotiate a loan or permanent transfer with Los Colcheneros.
Joao Felix set for Saudi switch?
The ex-Chelsea forward did not impress new Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino enough to make his loan permanent. Since then, Felix has been looking for a feasible exit route from the Spanish capital.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Felix is still holding out for a move to Spanish champions Barcelona but manager Xavi Hernandez is currently less keen than president Joan Laporta on a prospective transfer.
As Felix waits to hear from Barcelona, Romano confirms that one thing is for certain this summer: the 23-year-old will certainly leave Atletico in some capacity by the time the summer window slams shut on September 1.
