World Cup winner Andres Iniesta has arrived in the United Arab Emirates ahead of his move today to Emirates Club FC.
39-year-old Iniesta will sign a one-year contract on Tuesday morning with the option of a further year at the UAE Pro League outfit. The former Barcelona captain had been without a club since leaving Japanese side Vissel Kobe in June but the move has now been confirmed by Emirates FC’s official social media profiles.

Andres Iniesta set for Asian switch
Iniesta brings a wealth of experience to Emirates Club who were only promoted to the UAE top flight last season after finishing second in the First Division League.
During his career, Iniesta has totted up an incredible 35 major honors including four Champions Leagues, two UEFA European Championships, and the 2010 FIFA World Cup- Spain’s first ever- in which the veteran scored the winning goal in extra time against The Netherlands in the final.
