The 18-year-old joins fellow ex-Santos wonderkid Angelo Gabriel in West London after the Brazil under-20 international signed for $19m last month. Washington could now potentially move to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, now managed by former Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira, on a season-long loan this season with the final decision set to be up to the player.
