Former Chelsea and Real Madrid star Eden Hazard is set to announce his retirement from professional football at the age of 32.

The Belgian left Spanish giants Real at the end of last season after having his contract terminated by mutual consent a year early and according to reports in MARCA, Hazard is now prepared to walk away from all forms of the game after failing to find a new club this summer.

The four-time Chelsea Player of The Year was at the peak of his powers during the 2018-19 season for the Blues under Italian manager Maurizio Sarri which earned him a then club-record transfer to Los Blancos. However, his four years in the Spanish capital were seen as a massive failure with the once world-class talent looking like a shadow of his former self.

According to reports, the only club to show interest in picking up Hazard as a free agent has been Belgian Pro League side KVC Westerlo with the former star set to announce his retirement in the coming days.
