Juventus club captain Leonardo Bonucci is expected to leave the Allianz Stadium in the coming days and join Champions League qualifiers Union Berlin on a short-term deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, 36-year-old Bonucci has been offered a move to the German capital with the final decision being left up to the veteran who is expected to make an announcement imminently.

Leonardo Bonucci set for German outfit?

Bonucci has made over 500 appearances for the Old Lady over two separate spells and continues to provide leadership and experience on and off the field. The Euro 2020 winner was expected to finish his career in Italy but with Juventus not in Europe this season, the offer from Champions League qualifiers Union Berlin appears to be tempting Bonucci.

The Iron Ones are set to embark on a memorable season in Europe this campaign after qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history with a fourth-place Bundesliga finish last term.
