Everton are close to adding to their options in the forward area of the pitch, as they are reportedly edging closer to agreeing a deal with Udinese for Beto.

The Toffees are desperate to add to their options in the final third after struggling in their opening two matches of the season. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Everton will pay $30 million for the striker.

Everton edging near to Beto transfer

The Toffees have been looking at a number of forward options throughout the summer, and a move for Che Adams was reportedly in the works. However, Beto has now emerged as Everton’s top summer target, as the Toffees look to move up the league standings.

The 25-year-old joined Udinese on an initial loan deal in 2021, before signing permanently for the Italian side in 2022.

The Portuguese striker has scored 22 goals in 64 appearances for Udinese across all competitions, and his performances last season were rewarded with a call-up to the primary squad for the Portuguese 2022 World Cup. However, he eventually missed out on a spot in the final squad.
