Manchester United remain in the market for a central midfielder, and the Red Devils could be set to launch a shock last-minute move for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Tottenham are open to offers for the Danish midfielder, and Erik ten Hag’s side could be set to make their move before the transfer deadline, according to the Telegraph.

The Red Devils have been offered the chance to sign the midfielder, as Tottenham look to offload the 28-year-old before the deadline on Friday.

Ten Hag is reportedly a huge admirer of the midfielder, and a move could be easier to complete financially than United’s potential pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat.

Hojbjerg has been at Tottenham since signing for the North London club from Southampton in 2020.

He has been a key part of the team for each of the three previous seasons, and he has played 146 times across all competitions, scoring on ten occasions.
