Liverpool are set to make a last-ditch attempt to sign Bayern Munich wantaway midfielder Ryan Gravenberch on a permanent deal.

While a move is not yet close and there is no guarantee it will happen, both clubs are discussing their respective evaluations of the 21-year-old midfielder.

Ryan Gravenberch set for Anfield?

According to Bundesliga transfer guru Christian Falk, Liverpool will submit an opening offer worth over $32.6m today. Gravenberch is believed to favor a move to Liverpool over his other potential suitors, including Manchester United. The Red Devils meanwhile have decided to focus on thrashing out a deal for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat before the summer window deadline of tomorrow instead.

Despite blocking potential moves for Gravenberch all summer long, the Bavarians are now prepared to listen to offers for the Dutch international. However, any potential sale is dependent on them recruiting a replacement with Bayern’s midfield currently looking paper-thin.

Gravenberch only started three Bundesliga games last term and has so far featured only as a substitute this campaign, against Augsburg on Sunday.
