Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has completed his move to Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal.

Hudson-Odoi, 22, has put pen to paper over a three-year contract at the City Ground and moves for a fee of under $6.3m after making 156 appearances in total for the Blues.

Chelsea rejected a deal worth over $40m for Hudson-Odoi’s services back in 2019 when the winger was just 18.

However, Hudson-Odoi has failed to live up to the potential that gained him the reputation of being one of the hottest prospects to have ever graduated from the Chelsea academy.

Speaking as a Forest player for the first time to the club’s in-house media team, Hudson-Odoi said, “It’s massive for me to be here and I can’t wait to get started. It’s a new chapter for me.

“I know a couple of the boys already which was a big thing for me, and I obviously know the manager well, so it’s nice to be here and see familiar faces around.”

A senior England international, Hudson-Odoi was part of the England U17 squad that won the FIFA World Cup under the management of now Forest manager Steve Cooper in 2017.

Hudson-Odoi will wear the number 14 shirt for the Tricky Trees this season.
