Bournemouth were confident of completing the deal for Patson Daka on deadline day, but the move broke down in the final hours of the transfer window.

The Zambia international was keen to move back into the Premier League, but the deal broke down in the final hour of the transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

Patson Daka remains at Leicester City

Daka was reportedly keen on the move to the Vitality Stadium, and an initial agreement was in place between the sides. But, it is believed that the deal fell through after the Foxes were unable to bring in a replacement.

The striker was Bournemouth’s top target on deadline day, and there was huge frustration behind the scenes that a deal couldn’t get over the line.

Daka has been at the King Power Stadium since 2021 after completing a big-money move from RB Salzburg. The 24-year-old has scored 15 goals across 74 matches for the Foxes, but he is yet to make an appearance in the Championship this term.
