Manchester City winger Bernardo Silva is rumored to have a Barcelona clause in his contract allowing him to leave the Cityzens for the Catalans next summer.
Silva, 29, has made it no secret that he is a great admirer of the Catalans. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Portuguese winger still dreams of a move to the Nou Camp after seeing City teammates Ilkay Gundogan and Joao Cancelo making the same switch this summer.
Bernardo Silva still interested in Barca switch
As reported last month, Silva signed a new three-year deal with the Cityzens after a summer of speculation linking him with a move.
The clause in Silva’s new contract will reportedly allow the Portuguese star, who captained his country for the first time last night during the 9-0 demolition of Luxembourg, to leave for Catalonia if Barca decide to stump up $62.5m for him next summer.
Silva is widely regarded to be worth a figure closer to $85m and manager Pep Guardiola has continued to fight hard to keep the winger since his move from Monaco in 2017.
