Manchester United head coach Erik Ten Hag has refused to comment on the situation surrounding Jadon Sancho in his pre-match press conference this afternoon.

Speaking ahead of the Red Devils’ home clash with Brighton and Hove Albion tomorrow, Ten Hag pointed towards the club’s official statement on the England international, adding: “I think everything is said on that case. So the squad is strong, in good spirits, and good mood going into the game.”

Jadon Sancho frozen out at Man United

As reported yesterday, United have told the winger to train away from the first-team squad for the immediate future until a “disciplinary problem in the team is resolved”.

It has been revealed that Sancho refused to apologize to Ten Hag following their public spat after the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League earlier this month.

The Dutch coach remained coy on his relationship with the 23-year-old in public today, however, merely focusing on the importance of his side.

Strict lines is what the club asked me because there was no good culture before last season. So it’s important to set good standards, that is what I did and it is my job to control the standards” the 53-year-old added.
