Manchester United have confirmed that new signing Mason Mount has returned to first-team training.

The England international joined the Red Devils from boyhood club Chelsea for $75.7m in July but has so far had little chance to show what he can bring to the team having made only two appearances.

United have received a further boost that injury-prone central defender Raphael Varane is also back in training ahead of their daunting Champions League opener at Bayern Munich tomorrow.

It is yet to be confirmed whether or not either Mount or Varane will be available for selection for Erik Ten Hag but they could be back for the trip to Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The club also confirmed via their official website that Moroccon international Sofyan Amrabat is currently training on his own as he aims to get back to full fitness in order to make his debut for the Red Devils as soon as possible.
