Reigning champions Manchester City begin their defense of the European Cup tonight as they take on Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade.

Other standout ties see Newcastle United take on AC Milan at San Siro in their first match in the Champions League for over 20 years, and in the same group Paris Saint-Germain host Borussia Dortmund on matchday one.

Barcelona will hope for a straightforward start to their Champions League campaign as they take on Belgian new boys Royal Antwerp whilst La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid travel to Rome to take on Lazio.

Manchester United will have to wait until tomorrow to start their campaign as they travel to Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich in a daunting-looking opener at the Allianz Arena.

Also on Wednesday, last season’s finalists Inter Milan face Real Sociedad in an attractive-looking fixture in San Sebastian whilst Arsenal’s return to Europe’s top table after six and a half years away starts with a home tie against PSV Eindhoven.
