Liverpool could well be set to let youngsters Caoimhin Kelleher and Fabio Carvalho leave at Anfield at the end of the season.

Backup goalkeeper Kelleher, 24, has made a name for himself as a more than able deputy to Brazilian number one Allison Becker in Liverpool’s run to winning last season’s League Cup.

However, after the Reds were knocked out of the League Cup at the last-16 stage by Manchester City 3-2 back in December, Kelleher has found his opportunities few and far between this season and according to Fabrizio Romano, is now looking for more first-team opportunities, becoming increasingly agitated as being merely deemed an able deputy.

Carvalho, who scored in that 3-2 defeat, has on the other hand been given more of an opportunity by Jurgen Klopp and the highly-rated youngster has been praised by some Reds fans this season for providing much-needed energy in what has become an increasingly ponderous and aging midfield. However, Fabrizio Romano has also hinted that Carvalho could leave Anfield in the summer too- either on loan or on a permanent deal.
