Brazilian Lucas Moura has confirmed he will leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer when his contract comes to an end.

Moura, 30, joined the Lilywhites on the deadline day of 2018 from PSG for approximately $31m and wrote his name in the Tottenham history books as a legend after his hattrick in the Champions League semi-final against Ajax, the final goal coming in injury time, which took Spurs to the final in Madrid.

Lucas Moura will leave Tottenham on a free transfer this summer

This season has been injury-plagued for the Brazilian international and Tottenham have decided not to offer a new deal.

In an emotional farewell posted on social media, Moura said, “My Spurs. Wherever I am, my heart will always be here. You are my club. This will always be my home.”

During his time at Tottenham, Moura scored 38 goals in 219 appearances.

In a club statement, Spurs said of the Brazilian’s departure, “We would like to thank Lucas for his tremendous service to our club and wish him the very best for the future”.
