One club man Nacho is set to leave Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer after 14 years at the Bernabeu.

The five-time Champions League winner has not agreed a new deal with the Merengues and with no sign that an extension is on the horizon, the Spanish international is set to be a free agent for the first time in his career.

Italian giants linked with experienced defender

The versatile defender, who has played in every position across the back four during his time at Los Blancos, is gathering interest from Champions League finalists Inter Milan whose current financial position means they will have to dip into the free transfer market to strengthen their squad this summer.

And according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a decision regarding Nacho’s future in Spain will be made soon with the 33-year-old keen to continue his career in one of Europe’s top five leagues for as long as possible.
