Premier League side Fulham are considering a move to sign USMNT striker Folarin Balogun from Arsenal.

According to The Daily Mail’s Simon Jones, the Cottagers see Balogun as an ideal replacement for first-choice striker Aleksander Mitrovic- who is set to leave West London for Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal.

Balogun, 22, wants more first-team opportunities this season at Arsenal and is prepared to leave the club on a permanent transfer this summer in his pursuit after being so impressive on loan last season at French side Reims.

However, the USMNT hitman is seen as third-choice at Arsenal behind Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta not providing Balogun any guarantees about his involvement in the first-team this season.

Despite this, Arsenal are expected to hold out for a fee of at least $45m for Balogun who, at just 22, has an enormous amount of time and potential to become a top striker at the highest level.
