Well, we may have arrived at the party late for gameweek one, but we certainly scored respectably with our ones to watch. In fact, all four of our picks for FPL for gameweek one produced points. Hopefully, our gameweek two picks can deliver just as many points. Here are our ‘Ones to Watch’ for gameweek two:

Joe Hart (Burnley, £4.5million)

The former Manchester City and England is a much-maligned figure in the football fraternity. However, Hart has played three games for the Clarets and produced three clean sheets, two in the Europa League qualifying, then one against Southampton last weekend.

Hart also picked up an extra point at St Marys for making three saves. With Tom Heaton and Nick Pope at Turf Moor, we do not advise Hart as a long-term pick. However, at £4.5million and with a home game this weekend against a Watford team has scored just twice in their last 12 away days in the Premier League, Hart looks like a decent choice.

Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth, £5.5 Million)

The Scotland international had a habit of popping up with goals and assists last season. However, he was not always a regular starter for the Cherries, so his selection was always a bit of a gamble.

Fraser started the Cherries opening game of the season in a 2-0 win over Cardiff, scoring a goal and collecting the three bonus points. A trip to West Ham awaits this weekend, which does not look a daunting task considering the number of new players trying to bed into the Hammers side.

A home game against Everton, who were woeful on their travels last season looks like a promising one after the trip to the Hammers. At £5.5million, Fraser looks like he could to prove to be a bargain enabler for any self-respecting team.

Christian Eriksen (Tottenham, £9.5million)

We do not usually include premium players in our ‘Ones to Watch’, but I have to make an exception for the Danish midfielder. The former Ajax midfielder has been one of the most productive midfielders in the top-flight in recent seasons.

Last season he scored 11 times and produced ten assists, which is good numbers for a midfield player. A home game against newly-promoted Fulham on Saturday offers the Dane the chance to pick up some points after drawing a blank on the opening weekend. We get the sense that you will regret it if you do not own Eriksen in the near future.

Raul Jimenez (Wolves, £5.5million)

The Mexican international made a lively start to his career at Wolves in a 2-2 draw at home to Everton last weekend. The former Benfica star looked lively, working hard and grabbing the vital equaliser for the new boys against the Toffees.

At £5.5 million, he looks like he could be an ideal player to fill your third striker spot, as he offers the chance of points with a small price tag. A trip to Leicester this weekend could be an opportunity for Wolves and Jimenez, in particular, to thrive, as the Foxes have suffered defeat in four of their last five Premier League matches.

Who will be gameweek two’s ones to watch in FPL?
