Atletico Madrid are considering an offer from Chelsea for Joao Felix, which could take the form of a player swap.

Felix, 23, finally scored his first goal for the club in the Blues’ 3-1 win at Bournemouth on Saturday and the Portuguese is reportedly keen on ending his nightmare with Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid when his loan deal at Stamford Bridge ends at the end of the season.

And according to the London Evening Standard’s writer Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea are in talks with Atletico Madrid over another deal for Felix with a single transfer, a fresh season-long loan deal, and player exchanges all on the table currently.

Joao Felix set for Stamford Bridge stay?

And with Chelsea recently reporting losses of over $150m on their most recent accounts, the Blues are under pressure to make sales with Atletico showing an interest in a swap deal for Felix which would include Blues forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whose preference would be to return to Barcelona, and left-back Marc Cucurella, who was only signed from Brighton and Hove Albion for an astonishing $75m last summer, going in the other direction.

It is believed that incoming Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino will have the final say on any deal when he takes charge of the club at the end of the season with a number of players’ futures still up in the air as a busy overhaul this summer looms for the Blues.
