LA Galaxy has re-signed USMNT under-20 international Mauricio Cuevas from Club Brugge.

According to The Athletic reporter Tom Bogert, 20-year-old Cuevas has re-joined the club he left when he was released back in 2021.

Standing at just five foot seven inches, the diminutive right-back has failed to break into the first team for Brugge who currently sit a disappointing fourth in the league table, an incredible 16 points behind rivals Genk, after firing ex-England international midfielder Scott Parker as their head coach last month.

Latest LA Galaxy transfer news: Cuevas to return to the Galaxy

LA Galaxy has made a slow start to the new MLS season, winning only their first match of the season last Saturday at home to Austin FC, and will hope that Cuevas, who was part of the USMNT’s Under-2o’s Concacaf Championship winning squad, a boost as they seek to make this year’s playoffs.
