Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that owner Todd Boehly goes into the dressing room at Stamford Bridge after the match to give his opinion on the team’s performances.

The Argentinian boss, 51, has endured a very difficult start to life in West London but has not admitted to feeling the pressure from Boehly publically.

Mauricio Pochettino confirms Boehly’s influence

When pressed on the matter, Pochettino stated, “I don’t see it in a bad way. For me, it’s good that they share with us.”

Following Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, speculation over Pochettino has been called into question.

Trigger-happy American owner Boehly dismissed two managers last season at Chelsea but it is widely considered that Pochettino fits the profile of a manager who can implement a long-term plan following his success at London rivals Tottenham.

Chelsea take on Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday and speaking ahead of his side’s Carabao Cup clash, Pochettino added, “ It would be different if they gave some speech but they own the club and can do what they want. I am glad they came and shared with us”.
