There are now just a few hours left until the deadline for Premier League teams for transfer until January. The transfer window shuts at 5 PM, so clubs are currently frantically attempting to sign players. Here are the latest big move moves ahead of the window shutting:
The 23-year-old Spaniard has become the most expensive goalkeeper ever after making the move to Chelsea from the Basque country. Kepa is highly-rated and previously attracted a number of rejected bids from Real Madrid. Kepa has won one international cap for La Roja and has stated he has joined the Blues to win silverware.
Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea to Real Madrid, £35million)
Kepa arrived at Chelsea as the replacement for Courtois who finally completed a long talked about switch to the Spanish capital. The Belgian international’s contract at Stamford Bridge expired next summer. The giant goalkeeper has reportedly signed a six-year deal with the European champions.
Mateo Kovacic (Real Madrid to Chelsea, season-long loan)
To continue the theme of Chelsea, Croatian international midfielder Mateo Kovacic joined the Blues on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid. The 24-year-old is highly regarded in world football. However, he has struggled to get in the Los Blancos starting line-up since arriving in the Spanish capital in 2015. He could fit in well in Maurizio Sarri’s side, as he is a very clever footballer.
Lucas Perez (Arsenal to West Ham, £5million)
The 29-year-old made the move after the Hammers after a couple of frustrating years in north London. Perez spent last season on loan at Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna, who suffered relegation to the Segunda. Perez will be hoping to see more regular action at West Ham than he did at Arsenal, as he made just 11 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, scoring just once.
Adama Traore (Middlesbrough to Wolves, £18million)
Wolves broke their transfer record to sign the 22-year-old Spanish winger. Traore endured a productive campaign last season, scoring five goals and producing ten assists for the Premier League new boys in the Championship. The former Barcelona youngster has impressive technical ability but has often been criticised for his end product. However, at 22 he has plenty of time to mature and develop that side of his game.
Deals that are close
A number of deals are close to being completed. Everton look set to complete a late double deal, or even triple deal. Brazilian winger Bernard has already completed a medical with the Toffees and is expected to join as a free agent.
Meanwhile, reportedly Barcelona’s Colombian international Yerry Mina is undergoing a medical ahead of a permanent move to Merseyside. There is also speculation that Barcelona’s Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes is also having a medical ahead of a loan move.
Fulham are in talks to sign left-back Joe Bryan from Bristol City and Martin Montoya from Valencia. Wolves could also be busy as the Midlander’s have agreed deals to sign Belgian midfielder Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht, while they are also in talks to sign versatile Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko.
There is still time left for more deals to be done before the 5 PM deadline day. It looks set to be a busy couple of hours in the transfer market. We will update you on all the transfers in tomorrow’s article.
