We have now reached gameweek 11 of the season. Our picks from the last gameweek once again produced mixed results, with Diogo Jota and Jamie Vardy picking up points. We are hoping for an even bigger haul in gameweek 11:

Sam Johnstone (West Brom, £4.5m)

The Baggies goalkeeper picked up 11 points last time out in a 1-0 win over Sheffield United. The win saw a rare clean sheet for Slaven Bilic’s team. However, the former Manchester United stopper has picked up a very creditable 44 save points this season, despite his team being poor defensively.

The Baggies have faced some tough games of late, but the team from the Midlands do look to be improving. Although Sheffield United have been poor of late going forward, it was still a tonic for Johnstone to keep a clean sheet. A home game against Crystal Palace looks to represent a good opportunity for the Baggies goalkeeper to add to his clean sheet tally, as the Eagles may well once again be without Wilfried Zaha.

Matheus Pereira (West Brom, £5.8m)

The Portuguese midfielder has maybe not got the reward in terms of points that he should have this season. He has scored once and produced two assists in nine appearances for the Baggies.

Despite his poor numbers, Pereira has been highly creative in recent games. In fact, no player in the Premier League has created more chances in the last two gameweeks than the former Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder. The home game against Palace offers the midfielder a chance to produce a more tangible return.

Che Adams (Southampton, £5.9m)

After a slightly poor start to the Premier League campaign, the former Birmingham forward has slowly but surely started to produce attacking returns for the Saints. The 24-year-old has scored three times and also produced four assists, which for a player of his value represents a decent return.

A big factor in his selection for our picks is that he has failed to produce an attacking return in just one of his last six appearances for the team from the south coast. His early-season strike partner Danny Ings is also close to a return, which would improve Adams’s chances of picking up even more points in the coming weeks. Southampton face a south coast derby against Brighton on Monday night. The Seagulls like to play football, so opposition teams usually get chances against them.

Danny Welbeck (Brighton, £5.5m)

The former Arsenal forward is another player likely to feature in the south coast derby on Monday. After joining the Seagulls on free, the former England international has gradually worked his way back to match fitness.

Welbeck has now started the last three Premier League games, picking up attacking returns in his last two appearances for Graham Potter’s team. At £5.5m, he represents great value if he can stay injury-free for any sustained period. Monday’s opponents Southampton have not been great defensively of late.

Will any of our picks be in your FPL teams in gameweek 11?
