We have reached gameweek 31 of the Premier League campaign. With just eight gameweeks to go, FPL bosses will be looking to finish the campaign strongly. Our gameweek 30 picks did okay, as two of our four picks delivered points. However, as always, we greedy for points and want 4/4 in gameweek 31. Here are our picks for the latest FPL gameweek:

Edouard Mendy (Chelsea, £5.2m)

The French goalkeeper has certainly made a good impression since arriving in the summer from Rennes. He made a stellar start to his Chelsea career before a slight dip in form. However, under German head coach Thomas Tuchel, Mendy’s form has returned and the Blues look defensively solid.

Mendy had kept four straight clean sheets in the Premier League until a quite frankly bizarre 5-2 home defeat by West Brom last time out in English top-flight. The Blues were reduced to ten men in the first half after the dismissal of veteran Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva. The game will likely just be considered a slight blip, as Tuchel’s team returned to winning ways in midweek beating Porto 2-0 in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Chelsea visit London rivals Crystal Palace before a home game with Brighton. Both matches look like they could be favourable for clean sheets for Mendy and his team.

Conor Coady (Wolves, £4.8m)

The centre-back has not had the best of seasons in an underperforming Wolves team. However, looking at their upcoming fixtures, things could look a lot brighter in the near future for Coady and his team. His price tag of £4.8m certainly seems attractive ahead of a trip to struggling Fulham this weekend. If you are looking for a defender to help you fit in more premium players, then the England international could be your man.

Jesse Lingard (West Ham, £6.3m)

The England international is not a new pick for us, but he is such good value that quite simply he is hard to ignore. Since making the temporary January switch from Manchester United, the 28-year-old has scored six goals and also produced four assists. His output in the last four months has been more productive than the last two and half years of his career. Fair to say he is enjoying himself with the Hammers.

David Moyes team face a home game with Leicester this weekend, which is not the best fixture. However, the Irons seem to fancy their chances against any opposition at the moment. That makes Lingard a good pick for gameweek 31.

Do you fancy Lingard to find the net and wish to place a bet on the midfielder’s fortunes this weekend? Well, why not check out our betting page for the bookmaker we recommend for your bet.

Matej Vydra (Burnley, £4.8m)

The Czech Republic forward has struggled to get into the Clarets team until recently. He has now started six top-flight games. It seems Vydra has hit a spot of form, as he has scored two goals and produced an assist in his last four league matches.

That is solid form for a starting forward, who is only £4.8m. The former Watford forward looks to be an ideal enabler at his current price, if you are looking to spend cash elsewhere in your team.

Will any of our picks be in your gameweek 31 FPL team?
