Real Madrid will likely be put off making a move for Chelsea star Reece James due to his ongoing injury issues.
According to Spanish Newspaper AS, the England international’s injury record has concerned Los Blancos enough to deter them from a move for James after showing initial interest in the right wing-back earlier this year.
Real Madrid transfer news: Los Blancos cool Reece James interest
The attack-minded 24-year-old’s performances have been a highlight in a dismal first season under Todd Boehly’s ownership, which currently sees the Blues languishing in eleventh place in the Premier League.
James, who also missed out on playing in the World Cup with a knee injury, has only made 16 out Chelsea’s 31 Premier League appearances this season. And now after inflaming a recurring hamstring injury which saw him have to limp off in the first half during the home defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this month, it is not thought that James will return to action again for the Blues this season.
