Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to signing for Serie A club Monza.

The former Man United, Barcelona, and PSG center forward is looking to continue his career at the highest level and it has been reported by reputable Foot Mercato journalist Santi Auona that the Swede is looking to reconnect with former AC Milan owner and ex-Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi at his new club Monza.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave San Siro for Monza next season

The veteran striker has struggled to prove his fitness this season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury last year ruling him out for nine months, with his contract at San Siro running out at the end of the season.

However, despite only scoring one goal this season in four appearances, the world-famous striker’s reputation has been enough to convince newly-promoted Monza, who confirmed they will be staying in the Italian top flight for a second season with a 2-0 win at Spezia last Friday.
