The latest reports at TalkSport have claimed that Aston Villa could be set to make a move for Barcelona’s Ferran Torres.

It looks set to be a busy summer transfer window at Villa Park, with the Midlands club keen to bring in a number of key attacking players to aid Unai Emery.

However, Aston Villa could face competition for his signature, as Arsenal are also keen on making a move for the 23-year-old.

Barcelona are reportedly open to allowing Torres to leave the club this summer, as they look to free-up wage space for the return of Lionel Messi. Villa could make a shock swoop after appointing former Barcelona director of football, Mateu Alemany.

Torres has struggled for regular game time throughout the 2022-23 season, as he has scored just four goals from 29 La Liga appearances. However, he was a key part of Luis Enrique’s Spain team at the 2022 World Cup.
