Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou has moved to the top of the list in regard to filling the vacant manager role at Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are weighing up their options after being knocked back in their pursuit of Arne Slot.
It is believed that Postecoglou has been on the shortlist since the start of the search process, but he has never been the number one candidate to replace Antonio Conte in North London.
Tottenham switch attention to Celtic’s Postecoglou
Tottenham are now weighing up next steps in their search for a new coach after they were knocked back by Feyenoord’s Slot earlier this week. Postecoglou has been admired from afar by a number of Premier League clubs, but Spurs could be set to test the resolve of the SPL champions, according to Football Insider.
The Australian has enjoyed an excellent period of success at Celtic Park since taking over in 2021. He has led the club to successive SPL titles, and they remain in the hunt for a domestic treble this term.
However, Postecoglou remains one of a number of options being assessed by Spurs, with Brendan Rodgers, Luis Enrique, and Graham Potter also on the shortlist.
