Barcelona full-back Sergino Dest is set to leave to the Catalan giants this summer in favor of Champions League qualifiers Union Berlin.
The Bundesliga outfit confirmed their qualification to European football’s top table following a 1-0 victory against Werder Bremen at the weekend in what has been a meteoric rise for the capital city club.
USMNT right-back Sergino Dest set for move to Germany
And according to Foot Mercato journalist Daniele Longo, Union Berlin are set to complete the deal for the 22-year-old in the coming days after Dest failed to convince AC Milan to make his season-long loan into a permanent transfer, making only eight Serie A appearances this campaign for Stefano Pioli’s men.

Union Berlin won promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time in the club’s history in 2019 and last season qualified for the Europa League. This season’s fourth-place finish means The Iron Ones will be playing in the Champions League for the first time ever and Dest is set to join fellow USMNT player Jordan Pefok in the German capital this summer.
