Real Madrid captain and star striker Karim Benzema has been offered an eye-watering contract worth close to $107m per season to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad.
Benzema is the latest high-profile star to be offered a lucrative move to Asia following Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Al Nassr in January and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Real Madrid captain is seriously considering the offer with a decision expected to be announced soon.

French forward Karim Benzema weighing up offer from Saudi Arabia
Real Madrid agreed a new deal with Benzema verbally going back to last year but nothing has been signed as of yet and according to Romano, the Frenchman is expected to announce his decision by the end of this week after receiving the offer from Al Ittihad on Friday, before Los Blancos’ match against Sevilla.
The 35-year-old is believed to be discussing the opportunity with his family and his representatives with the Merengues still tabling an offer for their captain to stay at the Bernabeu until 2024.
