Inter Miami have offered World Cup-winning Argentinian forward Lionel Messi a deal worth $54m per year after he leaves Paris Saint Germain this summer.
The 35-year-old is believed to still prefer a move to his former club Barcelona, where he spent 21 years in total before moving to Paris two years ago, but according to Spanish newspaper SPORT the MLS club has offered Messi a tempting four-year contract.

And Messi could be joined in Miami by former teammate Sergio Busquets, who will leave the Nou Camp after Tuesday’s friendly against Andres Iniesta’s Vissel Kobe in Japan.
According to L’equipe writer Jose Barroso, Barcelona hope if Inter Miami can confirm the deal, that their former captain and all-time top scorer will be loaned back to the Catalans during the MLS off-season.
The ambitious deal would depend highly on Inter Miami President and co-owner David Beckham, who is pushing hard for Messi after announcing the sacking of head coach and former Manchester United teammate Phil Neville.
