Arsenal will be stepping up their transfer plans over the coming weeks, as the start of the transfer window creeps into sight.
The Gunners will look to address their issues in the right-back position this summer, as they bid to bring in a more accustomed player in the spot. Ben White was occupied in the position throughout the 2022-23 season, but Mikel Arteta is keen to add a more natural fit in that spot.
Arsenal interested in Valladolid’s Fresneda
According to reports at Football.London, the Gunners will step up their interest in Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda over the course of the summer.
The reports claims that Arsenal will make a bid for the right-back when the long-running saga involving the future of West Ham’s Declan Rice is over. Valladolid will be open to offers for the 18-year-old this summer following their relegation from La Liga.
However, the Spanish club will demand a significant fee for the teenager, with Valladolid expecting a sum in the region of $20 million.
The Gunners will be hopeful of stepping up their chase in the near future, as they face competition from Borussia Dortmund for the full-back.
