Paris Saint-Germain have held talks with out-of-work manager Julian Nagelsmann in their pursuit to appoint a new manager for next season.
The 35-year-old has been out of work since being fired in March by Bayern Munich and has spoken to Serie A champions Napoli over their managerial vacancy following the surprise resignation of Luciano Spalletti last week.
PSG close to appointing bright young manager Julian Nagelsmann
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Parisians have held positive talks with Nagelsmann whose young age is not believed to have put the PSG hierarchy off an appointment this summer.
The French champions will want to move quickly if they are to give the German time to settle in Paris, with the new French league season set to commence again in just eight weeks’ time.
