Inter Milan are set to cut Kalidou Koulibaly’s Premier League nightmare short by making an offer for the Senegalese defender’s services.

The 31-year-old suffered a torrid first season at Chelsea, struggling to adapt to the pace of the league after establishing himself as one of Serie A’s standout defenders during his eight-year spell at Napoli.

Kalidou Koulibaly set to leave the Blues after one season?

According to Matteo Moretto, incoming Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that he wants the Senegalese man-mountain to leave the club this summer with Inter seeing Koulibaly as a top priority this summer.

The Blues will not accept a loan deal, however, with Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming that conversations will take place between the two clubs in the coming days.

The Italians are also likely to discuss the possibility of on-loan forward Romelu Lukaku staying in Milan for the foreseeable future after the Belgian was offered a multi-million dollar contract by Al Hilal.
