Manchester City want to keep England right-back Kyle Walker who has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich this summer.
Walker, 33, is set to be out of contract at the end of next season and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Cityzens are insisting on offering the veteran a new deal after losing captain Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer to Barcelona last week.
Kyle Walker set for tug of war between English and German champions
Thomas Tuchel is reportedly a big fan of Walker and is set to push ahead with a move for the defender after losing Lucas Hernandez, Joao Cancelo, and Daley Blind this summer already- with Benjamin Pavard likely to join the trio out the door at the Allianz Arena.
Still, the Bavarians remain confident of striking up a deal with Walker and this week appears to be crucial in the race to sign the right-back- who wants to clarify his future as soon as possible.
