Inter Miami are set to complete the signing of their third ex-Barcelona player this summer by snapping up Jordi Alba on a free transfer.
Alba, 34, left the Catalan giants following the conclusion of his contract on 30 June, and according to The Miami Herald, the Champions League winner could sign for The Herons as early as today.

Inter Miami managing owner Jorge Mas posted a cryptic message on Twitter recently regarding the possibility of Alba joining fellow ex-Barca legends Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets in Fort Lauderdale with a photo of three pink shirts with the caption: “Coming Soon. Si.”

Alba’s glittering career has seen him pick up 17 major honors during his time at the Nou Camp as well as a European Championship winners medal in 2012 and last month’s UEFA Nations League for the Spanish national team.
The veteran is widely recognized as one of the best attacking full-backs of his generation and during their time at the Nou Camp together, Alba combined with all-time great and new Inter Miami star Messi for 34 goals in total across nine memorable years.
Alba will also reunite with former Barca boss Tata Martino, who took over the Florida-based outfit last month with the Herons currently sitting rock bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference without a win in nine games.
