Newcastle United have reignited their interest in Southampton’s $50m-rated defender Tino Livramento.

The Magpies had made the full-back among their top summer targets last month, but were knocked back after making their opening bid for the former Chelsea academy graduate.

However, the latest reports in the Daily Mail have claimed that the Magpies will reignite their interest in the Saints full-back after completing the signing of Harvey Barnes from Leicester City.

Newcastle are still wary of FFP issues that could impact their spending this summer, but a bid in the region of $35 million could be made later this week.

The Magpies could offer an increased fee compared to their offer last month after reaching an agreement on the sale of Allan Saint-Maximin. Meanwhile, Jamal Lewis could be set to depart the club, with Watford still in talks in a deal for the left-back.
