Paris Saint-Germain and Brazilian forward Neymar has taken one step closer to making a sensational move to the MLS.
The 31-year-old is unsettled in the French capital and has reportedly told the Parisians of his desire to leave the club this summer. Despite showing the best club form of his career under new PSG boss Luis Enrique at Barcelona during their three years together between 2014 and 2017, Neymar will not be persuaded to stay at the Parc des Princes by the former Spanish national team coach.
Neymar set for MLS switch
According to reputable Italian reporter Matteo Moretto, a move to former club Barca is currently off the table with Xavi Hernandez not wanting to add a potentially unsettling character to his dressing room ahead of the club’s La Liga opener against Getafe on Sunday.
Instead, a move to the MLS is looking increasingly likely according to Moretto, with New York City FC previously being interested in the Brazilian’s services.
