Reigning Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray are plotting a move to sign Sergio Ramos on a free transfer.

According to Turkish reporter Yakup Cinar, the Turkish giants have entered negotiations with the veteran Spanish World Cup winner who left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.

Sergio Ramos set for Galatasaray switch?

The 37-year-old had been linked with reuniting with ex-teammates Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami earlier this month but according to Cinar, Galatasaray have stolen a march by offering Ramos a two-year contract which would see him earn just over $6m a year.

Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ahli had also shown an interest in Ramos but walked away from a deal after completing the signing of fellow central defender Mehir Demiral late last night.

Ramos reportedly rang his friends to inform them Istanbul will be his next destination once he received the offer from Galatasaray who are preparing to take Europe by storm this season after already adding former Manchester City full-back Angelino, Wilfried Zaha, and Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi to their squad this summer.
