Liverpool are reportedly back in the race to sign midfield target Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich.

Gravenberch is wanted by the Reds hierarchy after Jurgen Klopp’s men missed out on signing first-choice defensive midfield targets Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to rivals Chelsea.

Ryan Gravenberch finally set for Liverpool switch?

According to Santi Aouna, the player is open to a move to England and talks remain ongoing with his representatives. Garavenberch has failed to make a real impact in Munich since his arrival from Dutch giants Ajax last summer but has been promised more game time under new head coach Thomas Tuchel this term.

The 21-year-old has a huge amount of potential but could still be lacking the experience and positional discipline that the sole defensive midfielder in such an attacking team requires. Known as more of a box-to-box player, Gravenberch has only spent three years at the top level and could be seen as a risky signing if the Reds want to proceed.
