Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, Trevor Chalobah, and Marc Cucurella will stay at Stamford Bridge beyond this summer after the transfer window slammed shut at 11 PM BST tonight.

Gallagher had been linked with a last-minute permanent transfer to Tottenham Hotspur but the Lilywhites decided to focus their attention on signing Welsh international striker Brennan Johnson instead.

Trevor Chalobah has loan rejected

Despite initial talks earlier in the evening, Chelsea shut down any loan move talks regarding Trevor Chalobah with the Blues not in the mood to benefit one of their biggest rivals for nothing.

Chalobah also saw a move to Bayern Munich break down earlier in the day and the player rejected the opportunity of a permanent move to Nottingham Forest after the two clubs agreed a $27m fee.

Cucurella had been on the verge of joining Manchester United but his involvement in the Carabao Cup against AFC Wimbledon in mid-week led to his move being scuppered meaning all three squad players will stay at Stamford Bridge until at least January 2024 when the transfer market re-opens.
