Barcelona have begun to study a new of strikers from around Europe, as they weigh up options to replace Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish striker still has a couple of years remaining on his deal, but the Spanish giants will look to move quickly if they are able to find the ideal striker to replace the 35-year-old.

Barcelona looking at Alexander Isak

Alexander Isak is among the players at the top of their wishlist, according to Fichajes, via the Daily Mail.

Newcastle United signed the Swedish international from Real Sociedad last summer, and he has quickly become one of the most important players in Eddie Howe’s team.

Despite injury issues in his debut season, Isak still managed to score ten Premier League goals and register one assist in 22 outings for the Magpies.

He has already started the new season in excellent form, as the 23-year-old has netted twice in four Premier League appearances.

Isak’s performances in La Liga with Sociedad had previously caught Barcelona’s attention, as the striker scored 44 goals in 132 appearances across all competitions.
