Bayern Munich will re-evaluate midfield options when the winter transfer window opens.

The German giants had been monitoring Joao Palhinha, but a move for the Portuguese looks tricky after he signed a contract extension with Fulham. According to the Mirror, Bayern could instead turn their attention to Scott McTominay.

Man United were reportedly open to offers for McTominay during the summer transfer window. However, no club met United’s valuation for the Scottish international.

West Ham saw a $35 million bid turned down, while Fulham had shown an interest in the 26-year-old when they were assessing options before Palhinha ultimately remained at the club.

McTominay came through the youth ranks at Man United, before making his professional debut in 2017. The midfielder has played 121 times for the club across all competitions, scoring on 19 occasions.
