FIFA President Gianni Infantino was in attendance at Dallas’ AT&T Stadium last night which has been rumored to host the 2026 World Cup final.

The 53-year-old was pictured on the stadium’s scoreboard during the Dallas Cowboys 30-10 victory over the New York Jets during the second week of the 2023 NFL season.

According to reports inside the stadium, the executive was roundly booed when he appeared on the stadium’s video board while sitting next to CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani and FOX Sports CEO Eric Shanks.

Infantino took over from long-serving president Sepp Blatter in 2016 and was widely criticized for comments made about migrant workers who had worked on the stadia ahead of last year’s World Cup in Qatar.

The AT&T Stadium in Arlington currently holds 80,000 spectators, which is expandable to 105,000, and was opened in 2009.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted across North and Central America in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
