Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella wants to leave in January after being left devastated by seeing his loan move to Manchester United collapse in the summer.

Since then, the wantaway 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under head coach Mauricio Pochettino and Cucurella has informed his new manager that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge in January.

Marc Cucurella wants Chelsea exit

As reported by the Daily Mirror’s Colin Millar, Pochettino is open to the idea of Cucurella leaving in January despite fellow left-back Lewis Hall leaving the club this summer for Newcastle United.

This would leave the injury-prone Ben Chilwell the only natural left-back at the club.

However, Cucurella’s time at the club looks to be up after he was booed by a portion of the club’s supporters during Chelsea’s narrow win over AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup- his only appearance so far this season.

Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Cucurella but Los Blancos already have two recognized left-backs in Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia.

It remains to be seen if Cucurella will appear against his old club Brighton and Hove Albion in the third round of the Carabao Cup tonight.
