Fantasy Football ones to watch season 2018/19 gameweek six

|

We are back with our ones to watch for gameweek six in FPL. All but one of gameweek five players produced points, so we are pleased with that return. However, we are aiming for an even higher points return in gameweek six. Here are this week’s ones to watch in FPL:

James Maddison (Leicester, £6.6million)

The summer signing from Norwich has made an instant impact in his first season in the Premier League. In fact, the England under-21 international has scored twice and produced one assist so far for the Foxes.

A home game against goal-shy Huddersfield this weekend offers the midfielder the perfect opportunity to add to his burgeoned points tally. At £6.6million, Maddison looks like a good FPL asset at the minute.

It is also worth noting that nine of Leicester next ten games are three or less in the difficulty ranking. It seems like he could be a set and forget midfield option until early December.

Ricardo Pereira (Leicester, £5.1million)

The Portuguese full-back arrived from Porto in the summer and has already made an impact in an attacking sense, even if the Foxes have struggled for clean sheets this season. In fact, the attacking full-back has produced three assists in his first five games in the Premier League.

Only Maddison has scored more points for the Foxes this season. The visit of Huddersfield could provide Pereira with a clean sheet and points at the other end of the pitch. The fact that he has also been employed in a more advanced position is also a major bonus.

As previously mentioned, Leicester’s fixture over the next couple of weeks are extremely favourable, so Pereira looks like a shrewd addition to anybody’s FPL squad.

Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth, £5.7million)

The diminutive Scottish winger is one of the highest top scoring players so far this season. In fact, the only midfielders to tally more points this season are Eden Hazard and Sadio Mane, who have enjoyed very strong starts to the season.

Fraser has accrued his 39 points by scoring three times and producing two assists. His return is a fantastic one for a player of such a low value. We like Fraser as an FPL option. He would have been in our gameweek five fives too, but he was doubtful for the visit of Leicester.

A trip to struggling Burnley this weekend seems like a potentially profitable one, even if the Cherries are slight underdogs to win at Turf Moor. Like Maddison, Fraser’s fixtures are favourable, as four of the Cherries next five games rank two, with the other ranking three in difficulty.

Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham, £6.8million)

The Fulham striker has become one of the most in-demand budget strikers in FPL due to a stellar goalscoring start to the Premier League. The Serbian striker has scored four times in five top-flight appearances, while also producing an assist, which has led to speculation over a move to Chelsea.

The visit of Watford to Craven Cottage gives Mitrovic a platform to add to his goal tally. The Hornets may have made a good start to their Premier League campaign, but their away form in the top-flight is shocking, as they have lost six of their last seven league games on their travels.

The Cottagers then face potentially tough games against Everton and Arsenal. However, there is a sense that the former Newcastle could score against any team, especially defensively vulnerable teams like the Toffees and the Gunners.
